Sugar Land, Texas, is every bit as sweet as it sounds. Out on the southwestern edge of Houston, the area was once dominated by sugar plantations. While the fields have largely been replaced by miles of sprawling, upscale neighborhoods, it still houses the headquarters of the Imperial Sugar Company, along with attractions such as the Houston Museum of Natural Science at Sugar Land.
